Cliff Wright - Chairman of the Board
Mr. Wright has over 40 years of corporate leadership experience as a Certified Public Accountant, finance executive, and chief executive officer. He is experienced in target identification, negotiation, strategy execution and integration. Mr. Wright co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of American Residential Services Inc., consolidated 82 HVAC and Plumbing companies, and led ARS through its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. He previously held senior roles including Chief Financial Officer of NASDAQ-listed American Ecology Corp, Managing Director of a specialty investment banking firm, and Regional Director of Corporate Finance for KPMG. Mr. Wright is certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors as both a Governance Fellow and in Board Leadership, and he holds MBA and BBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
Eli Sheep - Founder and Managing Member
Eli Sheep is a growth-focused executive with a strong track record of scaling companies. He has served as Head of Marketing at PE-backed Way Interglobal and TeamDynamix, leading the go-to-market strategy and demand generation efforts that accelerated revenue growth and supported successful exits. Previously, Eli played a key role in scaling Destify, contributing to its rise as the second fastest-growing company in Chicago. Eli brings deep experience in organic business growth, private equity environments, and direct HVAC and electrical industry operations. This background led to the formation of AirVolt Group, a technology-enabled, workforce-first services platform focused on durable, long-term value creation.
Mark Kelly - Board Director, HVAC & Facilities Services Industry Expert
With more than 35 years of experience in the facilities services industry, Mr. Kelly has spent the past two decades in executive leadership roles, including serving as President of Able Services and, following its acquisition, President at ABM Industries. Throughout his career, he has led the delivery of high-quality, innovative facility solutions across commercial and corporate real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and high-rise residential sectors. At Able Services, Mr. Kelly led key business segments including facilities management, janitorial, and MEP building services, HVAC, handyman services, and comprehensive building support programs. In 2023, he was honored with the Ray Nan Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to the commercial real estate marketplace.
Tom McGimpsey - Board Director, Legal M&A Expert
Tom McGimpsey, MBA, J.D is an experienced public company executive recognized for successfully guiding boards through challenges and driving successful M&A growth strategies. Roles include General Counsel, Head of Global M&A, CAO and interim CFO. As a former public company general counsel, Mr. McGimpsey has successfully guided many boards on IPOs, spin-offs, acquisitions, sales, dealing with hostile acquirers, significant restructurings, accounting issues, SEC and FINRA reviews, data privacy breaches, patent infringement lawsuits, etc. Mr. McGimpsey has advised on well over $8B in debt and equity offerings. As head of Global M&A, Mr. McGimpsey has significant deal experience that resulted in revenue growth, improved operating performance and increased share price. Mr. McGimpsey has managed more than $1.5B in M&A deals over the last 10 years.
Shaughn Simmons - Board Director, Finance & Accounting Expert
Shaughn Simmons, CPA, CIA is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience leading finance, accounting, and audit functions across construction, real estate, and technology-enabled businesses. He currently serves as CFO of Arlington Holdings, a privately held multi-family general contractor, and previously served as Chief Accounting Officer of Lincoln Property Company, the largest privately held commercial real estate company in the United States.
Mr. Simmons has also held senior finance leadership roles including CFO of Overhaul and Chief Audit Executive and Head of Finance Transformation at Ribbon Communications. He brings deep expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, M&A integration, treasury, and enterprise-scale finance transformation.
Steve Sousa - Board Director, Electrical Industry Expert
Steve Sousa, MBA, LLM, MSs, CPA, ICD.D, is a dynamic executive with over 20 years of experience driving transformative growth across energy, construction services, and technology sectors in more than 30 countries. Recently appointed President and CEO of Spark Power, Mr. Sousa brings a proven record of strategic leadership and operational excellence. Previously, as Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer for Quanta Canada and Valard LP—divisions of Quanta Services (NYSE: PWR)—he led strategic planning, market diversification, and corporate consolidation for the Canadian operations. A recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Mr. Sousa has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, successfully negotiating contracts in excess of $1 Billion and executing growth strategies through targeted acquisitions.
